Australia Awards - South and West Asia recently ran an activity to gather alumni insights, hearing from a diverse range of alumni with a variety of stories to share. Highlights of their Australia Awards experiences ranged from academic achievements and community development to extracurricular engagements.
On 8 March, International Women’s Day, 30 Australia Awards scholars from South and West Asia attended the ICC Women’s Twenty20 Cricket World Cup final at the spectacular Melbourne Cricket Ground.
More than 70 Australia Awards alumni from South and West Asia gathered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in January 2020 to celebrate alumni achievements and success as part of this year’s Regional Alumni Workshop.
Australia Awards scholar Amalka Edirisinghe from Sri Lanka is a clinical psychologist by profession, currently completing her Master of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at Flinders University in South Australia.
